My landscape paintings offer a look at my earlier artistic attempts to paint what I know. My life has been profoundly influenced by my travels, and the people I have met, as well as the cultural and geographic landscapes which they inhabit. These impressions have shaped both me and my artistic expressions in many ways.
While it seemed random, this collective experience has shaped me into the artist I am today, and continues to fuel my desire to explore new ways to find creative expression which brings to the surface the qualities which we all possess in common.
My landscapes can be divided into three broad categories:
"The American West", which encompasses my earliest memories of travel.
"Wanderings", which includes those spots which have had a significant impact on me.
"Structures", which, through color and composition, enables us to view iconic man-made creations in ways not imagined by their original designers and builders.
